About the artist

Everything you need to know about me!

René Siepmann (born on November 1st 2002), is a contemporary self- taught painter who lives and works in North-Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) and portrays / explores the depths of what it means to be a human. Siepmann's work is showing us what exactly makes us human.

His paintings show our deepest fears, our deepest needs and what we are currently capable of now , were then and will later be. His diverse approach to those topics allows the viewer to experience a unique journey through our minds and reveals the  deepest layers and aspects which define the homo sapiens.

His personal style pays homage to the ancient ways of storytelling, by using symbols and colors like several ancient cultures did, comparable to the hieroglyphs of the ancient egypt. His paintings possess a contrast between ancient stylistic devices and modern topics which are colliding in one new painting.
Siepmann's work can also be seen as a painted mirror which shows the current state of today's world and how it could be in the future.
His career started throughout the late 2010's when René Siepmann made several international appearances provoked by collaborations with several artists on an international basis.
By now, he is an emerging artist in the field of contemporary visual art. His style and artwork is constantly evolving and does always seek the dialogue with the viewer.

Everything can be art, it just needs to be made to it!      René Siepmann in 2019
